John Nikopoulos holds
- a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the Mathematics Department of the University of Patras (HOU).
- a Master’s degree in “Studies in Education” from the Hellenic Open University (HOU); his thesis was on adult education and the relationships being developed during their education.
Since 2017, he has been a graduate student in the Postgraduate Specialization Programme in Information Systems at the HOU
He has many hours of training in computer courses from institutions such as the mathematical society, ELKEPA, the University of Piraeus and other bodies. He has a lot of experience in teaching Informatics in secondary education. In 2000 he was appointed as a teacher of information technology in secondary education.
At the same time, he taught ICT in Institutes for Professional Training (ΙΕΚ) both public and private, and has a lot of experience in adult education.
In 2013 he was transferred to primary education.
Since 2007 he has been seconded to the Pedagogical Institute (P.I.) and then to the Institute for Educational Policy (I.E.P.), attached to the technical support department, giving solution to problems of computers and networks as well as in the management of the previous site.
He has participated in a commission for qualitative and quantitative receipt and in a committee for the evaluation of the results of competitions and negotiating processes in IEP. He is also an evaluator of educational software given to schools by the Pedagogical Institute and a judge of articles in conferences of the Panhellenic Association of Teachers of Informatics (PEKAP).He has been trying to educate and train himself throughout his career, attending seminars and courses either in person or by distance learning. Recently, he has attended courses at the University of Piraeus, EKKDA and the Union of professors of Elia.
