The Evaluation Unit is responsible for issues of assessment and evaluation in Primary and Secondary education. In particular, the responsibilities of the unit concern:
- developing and establishing a framework for the descriptive assessment of students,
- issuing opinions on inquiries about researches, educational programs and educational material in relation to assessment and evaluation,
- submitting data and information to parliamentary control questions,
- providing data for reports at European and international level in relation to pupil assessment in the Greek educational system,
- participating in working groups and committees in order to submit proposals for educational evaluation,
- developing, processing and implementing proposals for training and/or piloting new measures and programs related to evaluation and assessment in Primary and Secondary education.
