The Department of Financed and co-financed Projects and Actions was established by law 4547 (article 62, Government Gazette volume Α, 102 / 12.06.2018) with the aim of the design, monitoring and implementation of the scientific and project scope of all kinds of programs that are undertaken by IEP and that are funded or co-funded by the European Union and other international organizations, as well as any other non-funded action. It is an autonomous unit reporting directly to the President and the Administrative Board.

Its main responsibilities include:

(a) drawing up and attending all projects or actions for submission to the relevant authorities

(b) monitoring the implementation of the scientific and project scope of all kinds of programs or actions undertaken by IEP and  issuing opinions on the  reports of the project managers.

Aiming for an even more effective supervision of its tasks implementation, the Department is in close cooperation with all scientific units and administrative services of the IEP.
